BNK48 released its 12th single “Believers” on August 28 and held a launch event BNK48 12th SINGLE “Believers” FIRST PERFORMANCE at Union Mall in Bangkok. In the first performance on stage, not only the title song but also coupling song by each of the 16 Under Girls and 16 Next Girls were performed for the first time.
This is the latest single sung by the top 16 girls selected in the “3rd BNK48 Single Election” held on April 9. The Under Girls are the members ranked 17th to 32nd in the general election. The Next Girls were made up of members ranked 33rd to 48th.
During the two-hour-long live performance, the seventh and eighth songs were performed, which was the climax of the show. First up was “Kinou Yori Motto Suki” centred by Mei (17), the 33rd-ranked CGM48 trainee. The original song is a fast-moving pop song and a coupling song of AKB48’s 37th single “Mae shika mukanee”. 10 BNK48 members and 6 CGM48 members danced with youthful freshness in white mini-skirt sailor-style costumes with pink ribbons on their chests. They danced with youthful freshness.
Mei, who was the only one wearing a hat at the centre, said, “This was my first time being at the centre and I was nervous. Thank you for bringing me here. I will do my best from now on”.
The Under Girls followed with “make noise,” an intensely cool dance number for adults. The original song was sung by HKT48 as a coupling to AKB48’s 43rd single “Kimi wa Melody”. 16 members danced synchronized dances in their cool, tight black costumes.
Hoop (19), the centre of the group, introduced the song with a laugh, saying, “While (Next Girls’ song) was a very cute song earlier, our ‘Make noise’ turned out to be a Doberman”. Although the members were one step short of being selected, they showed that they are capable of being selected for a single at any time.
Not only the single “Believers” by the single-selected members but also these two songs and two teams are likely to attract even more attention in the future.
