6 members of BNK48 and CGM48 performed at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2022 supported by Nishitan Clinic on August 6 at Odaiba – Aomi areas in Tokyo. Cherprang (26), Jennis (22), Pun (21) from BNK48, and Izurina (26) from CGM48 has appeared for the second time since 2018; Tarwaan (25) from BNK48 and Aom (26) from CGM48 made their first appearance this year.
The six members of the group appeared on the outdoor SMILE GARDEN stage around noon, dressed in costumes from their 11th single released in March, and wowed the audience with the combination of “First Rabbit,” another popular AKB48 song. The unit also performed “ดีอะ (D.AAA)” and “มะลิ (Mali),” two original songs incorporating melodies from traditional Thai music.

Next up, at 1:00 p.m., Cherprang and Izurina appeared on the “TIF ASIA TOUR 2022 Special Talk Stage.” The online talk was held at the Tokyo leg of the “TIF ASIA TOUR 2022” in June, finally, MC Fujisaki Ayane (Dempagumi.inc) and others got to talk face to face which was a thrilling moment for all.
Cherprang said, “It was very hot last time I was in Japan, but I didn’t feel so hot this time. The outdoor stage was a lot of fun! Izurina was also proud, saying, “Bangkok and Chiang Mai can get over 40 degrees Celsius, so we are used to the heat”.
Dempagumi.inc. and other idol groups from around Asia performed together for the “TIF ASIA TOUR 2022 Special Live Stage” at HOT STAGE around 3:00 PM. The group fired up the stage with “Aitakatta” after SUMOMO, who is also based in Bangkok. Passing the baton to Dempagumi.inc.
For the last show at 5:00 PM, the unit performed at “SKY STAGE” on the rooftop of Fuji Television Wangan Studio. Here, unlike SMILE GARDEN, they changed into the costumes of CGM48’s fourth single “Maeshika Mukanee” released back in May. This was the best part, perfect performance by the top senbatsu member from BNK48 and CGM48. The group kicked off with “Maeshika Mukanee” followed by “Heavy Rotation” and “Melon Juice,” all of which amped the audience in high tension full of sweat. The last song was performed with towels bearing the logos of BNK48 and CGM48. It was a particularly exciting moment for the audience.

Jennis from BNK48 said, “I was so happy to be able to perform CGM48’s song for the first time. PUN concurred, “We were happy to come to Japan again for TIF.
Tarwaan said, “It was my first time on stage at TIF, so I was happy to perform in Japan. Aom said, “The last time BNK48 members performed at TIF, I thought it looked like a lot of fun. I was nervous and practised a lot before coming here, It was also exciting to be able to dance in CGM48 costume”.
Cherprang commented, “It was my second TIF, and we performed a lot of songs we had never performed before, and it was great to meet other idol groups. Izurina looked back at the event “I was very nervous at the beginning of the show. Everybody welcomed us with an open arm, making the stage so exciting. We don’t usually get to perform with other Idol groups so this was a precious experience for me.
BNK48 will be releasing their 12th single, a special music video shot in Japan, lyrics written by Okada Nana (AKB48), and choreography by Murayama Yuiti (AKB48). The connection and bond between BNK48 and Japan will be all eyes for a while.
