It has been announced that BNK48 and CGM48 will visit Japan to perform at the Thai Festival Tokyo 2023, which will take place on 20-21 May at Yoyogi Park Event Square in Tokyo.
The event, organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, has been held annually since 2000 and is a major festival with some 200 booths selling Thai food and specialities, etc. BNK48 had appeared at the festival in 2018 and 2019 before COVID.
For their first appearance in four years, the members were chosen by fan voting using BNK tokens from 17 April to 4 May. The “Thailand Festival Tokyo 2023 Selected Members” were MINMIN, PANCAKE, POPPER, L and CERPRANG from BNK48 and KAIWAN from CGM48 total of 6 members.
The members who joined the group during the COVID, such as Elle and Popper, will be performing in Japan for the first time. Their stage performance is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm on 21 May. It will be an exciting opportunity for Japanese fans.
