On December 17, JKT48 held its 12th anniversary concert “FLOWERFUL JKT48 12th Anniversary Concert “.
This year, the anniversary was celebrated not in their home city of Jakarta, but in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second-largest city. The 4,000-seat ticket sold out in 5 minutes at the premium live concert.
As the title “FLOWERFUL” suggests, the concert venue was decorated with vivid flowers everywhere, from the stage to the audience seats. The concert stage was filled with flowers, and the audience was treated to a dynamic performance. The concert, including the “JKT48 12th Anniversary Personal Meet and Greet & 2-Shot Event” on the 16th, was a weekend to fully enjoy the JKT48 experience.
At the end of the concert, JKT48 Theater General Manager Melody made a surprise announcement about the graduation concert of captain Shani and the JKT48 Senbatsu General Election to be held for the first time in five years.
JKT48 will be even more active in 2024 than this year.
