On September 24, MNL48 completed the last day of “The No Way Man Nationwide Tour “The Breakthrough” 2022″ a mall tour in the Philippines (18 venues in total) with their latest single NO WAY MAN.
ABBY (25), who came in first in the 3rd MNL48 general election in 2021 and led the group as the centre of the song said,”I would like to thank all the supporters who joined our journey during our mall tour. It’s a heartwarming experience for me and the group. As the centre of the 7th single NO WAY MAN, I am so grateful to be part of the senbatsu. And for me, this is the best era so far” .
The group’s first promotional tour since the new coronavirus disaster was held across 18 cities starting July 22 in Quezon City, the first mall tour among Filipino artists since the government lifted its three-year restriction on events. The tour attracted a great deal of attention.
A representative of the group said, “After two and a half years of mainly online activities with the Corona Disaster, we felt that our fan base has expanded. Not only the traditional J-pop fans but also new fans were added through this new song,” said a member of the audience in response. The sub-performances also succeeded in conveying a broader appeal by highlighting the Under Girls, the unit “Baby Blue,” and Sheki’s (22) solo.
”It was truly a roller coasting experience and a memory that will not be forgotten. It was tough, and exhausting but amusing and significant. My favourite part was our back-to-back long drives, where we were able to witness the beauty and culture of each city and the warm welcome of our supporters, MNLoves! No way man nationwide mall tour ‘the breakthrough’ is one of the most successful events of MNL48.“, Sheki said.
JAMIE (20) who was third in the general election said, “Overall, the mall shows were a very great experience for me, we were able to show who is Mnl48 and what we are capable of.”
DIAN（20）was said proudly, “Overall, the mall shows were a very great experience for me, we were able to show who is Mnl48 and what we are capable of.” As her words, this was a “breakthrough” for the group, just as the subtitle of the tour suggests.
This is a step that will take the group to even greater heights in the future.
