Ahead of the idol festival “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL” (TIF), an annual event in August, the TIF’s Asian spin-off project “TIF ASIA TOUR” will be held in Bangkok in May where BNK48 is gusted for performance , followed by Taipei, AKB48Team TP will perform, and Tokyo in June.
The project is a spin-off of the original ”TIF” and was launched last year with the vision to introduce ‘idols’ as a unique culture established in Japan, Asia-wide. On 3 September 2021, 7 overseas 48 sister groups, JKT48, BNK48, MNL48, AKB48 Team SH, AKB48 Team TP, SGO48, and CGM48, performed.
The Bangkok performance on 7 May will be held at “KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha The PlayHouse”, while the Taipei performance on 15 May will be held at “凝聚力展演空間 (Cohesion Space)”, both as an attended event. BNK48 and Team TP will each perform with other local idol groups to showcase the momentum of ‘idol culture’ in both regions.
