BNK48 released the music video (MV) for its 11th single “Sayonara Crawl” on March 20. After a premium screening at Asiatique Park, Asiatique The Riverfront, is an outdoor event venue in Bangkok Thailand. On that day, it was also released on their official YouTube.
It was shot at a beach location with 32 selected members, the same as the original released by AKB48 on May 22, 2013. In the center stand first-term BNK48 student Music (21), second-term student Fond (19), and third-term research students Paeyah (16), and CGM48 Champoo (16), recreating several scenes reminiscent of the original video by AKB48.
The tropical mood appropriate for the song is in full effect. One scene, in particular, shot at a resort hotel pool in Thailand, features 32 girls in colorful outfits playing innocently with floats and balls in a cute video.
Jennis (21) says, “When I saw my scene, I was in the pool too much. I was so happy to be in the film role that I couldn’t help but get into it. I was so happy to be there that I jumped in the pool about 20 times to get a beautiful scene,” she recalled with a smile.
Hoop (19), a third-term research student, added, “It was hot on the day of the shoot. The staff asked me, ‘Who wants to jump in the pool? Wee-san (20) and I looked at each other and said, “Yes! I raised my hand and joined in,” she revealed.
As they talked about these episodes, Pun (21) remarked, “It was Pupe (24) who was the most pitiful,” to which Pupe replied, “Really! I was sick, but I got in the pool while holding the camera and jumped 20 times! But thank you for entrusting me with a big role,” she laughed.
BNK48 accept reservations for the CD and music card of their 11th single and it comes with voting rights for the 3rd BNK48 general election on April 9.
